When choosing suppliers we always try to find people whose enthusiasm for the food they sell matches our own.
Giles and Annie Henshel are classic foodies, falling in love with that noble fruit, the olive, on a world tour in 1990. On returning to England it was as they feared. The olives available here were dull, stale and poor quality.
In 1992, using recipes they had discovered on their trip and sourcing olives direct in various countries, they set up Olives Et Al to deliver top quality olives and related products to the English.
Their olives, sun-dried tomotoes and baby peppers stuffed with feta cheese are popular features of our deli boards. They take their place alongside charcuterie from Brindisa, who import the most extensive range of quality Spanish foods in Britain, and hot-smoked Bradon Rost Salmon from Loch Fyne.
